Join us on Sunday, August 4, 2024 for a three phase horse trials at Orchard Hill Fields.

Second rides of your dressage and jumping tests will be available; the first ride will count toward ribbons.

Second rides may be at a different level than the first.

Entry Fees: $155 for each horse and rider 3-phase entry
$120 for each horse and rider 2-phase entry
$95 for two dressage tests (any level)
$75 for one dressage test (only pre-elementary)
$30 for use of Orchard Hill school horse

Orchard Hill hosts schooling shows in the spring, summer and early fall.

We welcome new and experienced riders at five levels:

Pre-Elementary- Walk-trot dressage USDF Intro Test A , 18″ cross rails and 12″ cross-country obstacles in an enclosed field
Elementary- USEA Starter Test, 2′ vertical stadium jumps, and an inviting XC course in open fields with a variety of logs, coops, other obstacles to 2′, optional water crossing
Advanced Elementary (a.k.a. Intro)- USEA Starter Test- with verticals and oxers to 2’3″, XC has logs, coops, half-ditch, banks, water
Beginner Novice- USEA BN Test A, 2’6″ jumps, small banks, small ditch water crossing with optional jump out and small stone wall
Novice- USEA Novice Test A, 2’9″ stadium with combinations, XC jumps with water, banks and drops, a stone wall, beaver dam, ditch and lots of variety to the terrain.
All dressage tests use the most recent revision (year) from their organizations- USEA/USDF

Dressage is held in two quiet sand arenas at the top of the hill, while both jumping phases are in sand rings adjacent to parking. Summer shows include a food truck!
